Day
1: CAPPADOCIA - KAHTA (L.D)
Depart from your hotel in Cappadocia. We begin heading east and make a short photo stop at Incesu
Caravansarai.
We will also have a magnificent view of Mt Erciyes near Kayseri. Lunch and tea break. We will have a stop in Kahramanmaras for
a taste of Turkey's most famous ice cream. Arrival in Kahata, near the mountain check in to the hotel
and overnight.
Day
2: KAHTA - SANLIURFA (B.L.D)
Rise early for the drive and the walk up to the summit of Mt Nemrut. See the magnificent
relics of the tumulus od the Commegene king Antiochus Epipanes I at the top of Mt Nemrut(2,150m above
sea level). The amazing statues of the Gods on the Nemrut summit make it a very impressive site. View
a fantastic sunrise from East Terrace. Stop in Arsemia to see the old castle and remains
of a bridge made during the time of Alexander the Great, then cross the Cendere Roman Bridge built
by Septemus Severus in the 2nd century AD which still in use! Visit Karakus, which is
the tumulus of the royal Commagene women and features columns with eagle and relief.
Breakfast and pack up at the hotel. Drive to Harran;
city of prophet Abraham. We will walk through the village with its fortress, old Islamic school and beehive
shaped adobe houses. We continue to Sanliurfa for lunch. Visit the Sacred Fish Pool.
Time permitting a chance to wander in the Old Bazaar. Overnight in Sanliurfa.
Day
3: SANLIURFA - CAPPADOCIA (B.L)
We depart from Sanliurfa after the breakfast and continue to Birecik for a view of the fortress, then
cross the Euphrates River. Lunch. Return early evening to Cappadocia.
Transfer to your hotel.
