Day
1: ARRIVAL to ISTANBUL
Arrival to Ataturk Istanbul airport and meet for transfer on to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure (as per your flight arrival time). Overnight in Istanbul.
Day
2
: ISTANBUL (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel meet with guide to depart on a full day tour to explore some of the most important sights in Istanbul. Visit the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia Museum, Hippodrome
and Obelisk, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace (excludes: extra entrance to Harem & Treasury rooms). After tour, return to hotel with the evening then at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: ISTANBUL (B)
Depart from the hotel for a mornings Cruise on the Bosphorous which separates the East from West. During the cruise we visit the Spice
(Egyptian) Bazaar and Rumeli Fortress. At end of cruise, transfer back to your hotel with the remainder of the day is at leisure. (There is the option to extend this to a full days tour including visits to Dolmabahce
Palace, Bosphorous Bridge and Camlica Hill for panoramic views). Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 4: ISTANBUL - CAPPADOCIA (L)
Check out and transfer to Istanbul airport in the early morning for departure on the flight to Kayseri.
On arrival meet with the transfer to take you on to Urgup for start of the tour. Today
visit Devrent Valley and Pasabagi(Monk's Valley) where you will find
the world famous fairy chimneys. Break for lunch in Avanos. Then on to visit Goreme
Open Air Museum to
explore the numerous churches and monasteries with their frescoes. These churches and monasteries where
carved from the soft volcanic stone and decorated by Medieval Orthodox Christian Monks around 1000-1200AD.
visit to Ortahisar natural rock castle for panoramic views. After tour, on to hotel with for check-in
with the evening at leisure. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day
5: CAPPADOCIA (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel, depart on another full day tour this time starting with a visit to the famous Derinkuyu
Underground City which was built as da defence and hiding site during the period of spreading
Christianity. Then on to Cavusin
Old Christian Village where you will find a triple Apse church and the monastery of St John
the Baptist. In Sinasos
Old Greek Village you find old Greek and Ottoman houses. The days touring includes an easy grade
3km hike through Red
Valley offering some great scenery that would otherwise not be accessible by car and a visit
to Uchisar natural rock castle. At end of the tour, transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 6: CAPPADOCIA (B,D)
Balloon Tour: You will be picked up a from your hotel just before sunrise and taken to the take-off site to watch the preparations for the departure. The flight itself lasts for at least 1 hour, during which time you will fly at varying heights allowing you a panoramic view of the landscape spread out beneath you, as well as a close-up view of the area from above.
After landing you can celebrate this unique experience with a drink before returning to your hotel for a late breakfast.
Free day in Cappadocia. This day is for yourself or family, there are many other great sites to visit in Cappadocia.
20:30 Pick up for the Turkish Night Show, after this great night, we transfer you back to the hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 7: CAPPADOCIA - ISTANBUL (B)
Breakfast at hotel, check out then transfer on to Kayseri airport for the return flight to Istanbul. Arrival, transfer to hotel and remainder of evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 8: ISTANBUL (B)
Breakfast at hotel, check out and as per your flight time transfer on to Istanbul international airport.
