Itinerary:
Depart from you hotel on a full day tour of a part of the vast area that makes up
the Cappadocia landscape. On this tour you will visit the Mazikoy Underground City, Soganli Valley and its many churches, the old Ottoman Theological School of Taskinpasa and
monastaries in Keslik. After lunch, visit the old Greek village of Cemil and Kayakapi,
and old Christian city.
Information:
Soganli fracatured and collape during an earthquake that added to erosion resulting
in deep valleys and canyons.The rock cones found on the sides of the valley were used as graves by the
Romans, and later as churches by the Byzanties. Here we will see local women making bread in outside
ovens.
Keslik this Archangelos Monastery is about two kilometers south of Cemil. The monastery compries a church chapel, refectory, hall, and othere chambers, all hollowed out of a group of broadbased cones.
